The Opportunity: Join busy metropolitan emergency departments across Western Sydney and gain hands-on exposure to high-acuity cases. Western Sydney LHD is seeking PGY3 SRMOs to provide locum coverage across its emergency departments. You'll support a wide variety of acute presentations in fast-paced hospitals, working closely with FACEMs, registrars, and skilled nursing teams. Clinical Environment: Work in well-equipped metro EDs with electronic medical records and consultant supervision Manage a wide range of emergency presentations , including trauma, paediatrics, mental health, and complex medicine Access to structured escalation pathways and educational support, ideal for doctors pursuing ACEM training Develop autonomy and procedural skills , including cannulation, suturing, plastering, and airway management Ideal for SRMOs looking to gain experience in high-acuity urban settings while maintaining roster flexibility Eligibility Criteria: AHPRA General Registration PGY3 with at least 6–12 months Emergency Medicine experience NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing What’s Provided: Up to $160/hour , depending on shift and experience Travel and accommodation support may be available for block bookings Shifts available across weekday, weekend, and public holiday rosters End-to-end credentialing support provided Location – Western Sydney LHD, NSW: Work across accessible Sydney metro hospitals with major EDs.
